Why the all new WordPress 4.0 will blow you away

On September 4, 2014 WordPress launched “Benny”, its version 4.0, named after jazz musician Benny Goodman. This piece of artwork by WordPress comes with some cool upgrades along with the good ol’ features of the previous versions which were awesome in so many ways. For those who don’t know here are some snippets of its awesomeness-

  • The best thing- Its open source i.e. it is free for all.
  • The casual ease of design or making a website and have it up and running in no time.
  • The flexibility which even surpassed the expectations of the makers, as it is now being used in multiple websites.
  • Effortless content management system.
  • Custom themes and theme management.
  • A vast community of users and their custom made plugins.
  • 90% of the optimization job is done by WordPress itself.

Okay, okay,  yeah I got a bit carried away in details of how impressive it already is. But,that just a precursor to what is coming next. To every other WordPress fans and yet to become fans the all new  WordPress 4.0 or Benny comes with some amazing new features like-

  • Improved Editing: Now editing texts in WordPress is much more intuitive than before as all the important tools and action buttons stay within the radius of a mouse click avoiding unnecessary scrolling.
  • Seamless Media Embedding: Tired of being in the dark about the look of the media content in your website. Now you can get the feel of your webpage by simply adding the link of any media file, be it a video or your Facebook status, and see how it will actually look on your website.
  • Informative Plugin Browser: Forget the hassles of choosing the correct Plugins as all the information you need about the plugins is right there on the dashboard making it an informative and visual experience.
  • Media Library Grid: The all new media library grid system is an interactive environment that soothes your senses and eases out you work. With feature like drag and drop uploads and categorical browsing files seen across a grid makes it an easy and involving experience.

This is just a start to what can be a whole new level of Content Management System. Remember, Benny is just the 4.0 version and WordPress is coming up with an upgrade this December. To me, it seems a promising future for the web-designers out there.
